Privacy Policy
Last updated 21 October 2026
Version 2026-10-21.2. This policy explains what QueekSpace collects, why, and what you can do about it. It describes what the application actually does today.
What we collect
- Account: name, email address, hashed password, avatar, and the time you accepted these terms (with a hashed IP address as evidence).
- Content: the links you post, the titles and descriptions you write, your saved and compared items, messages you send, and reports you file.
- Verification: which platform accounts or domains you claim, the codes used, and the outcome. If you confirm your email with Google, we store Google's account identifier, the confirmed email address, and the scopes you granted. We do not receive your Google password and we do not read your mail.
- Technical: session records, hashed IP addresses, browser user agent, and security events such as failed sign-ins and rate-limit hits.
- Billing: if you subscribe, our payment processor (Stripe) handles card details. We receive subscription status and the last four digits only.
- Link previews: when you post a link, our server fetches that page to build a preview. The page you linked may see that request.
Why we use it
- To run the service: show your feed, publish posts, deliver messages and alerts.
- To keep it safe: detect abuse, enforce the ownership rule, prevent spam and fraud.
- To contact you: verification links, security notices, and messages you opted into.
- To bill you, if you subscribe.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your content to train a public AI model.
Cookies and storage
We use two essential cookies: a session cookie (kept in the database, HTTP-only) and a CSRF cookie. We store your theme choice and push subscription in your browser. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers.
Who we share it with
Only the processors needed to run QueekSpace: our hosting provider, the email service that delivers verification and alert messages, Stripe for billing, and — when a feature calls an AI provider — that provider, receiving the minimum text needed to answer. Where a post embeds media, your browser requests it directly from the platform that hosts it (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Vimeo), which may see your IP address.
How long we keep it
Account and content data are kept while your account is open. Deleting a post removes it from the feed; cached previews expire automatically. Backups rotate on a weekly and monthly schedule and are then destroyed. Security logs are kept for a limited period to investigate abuse.
Your rights
You can access and correct your details in Settings, export or delete your account, and withdraw consent for optional messages at any time. To make a request, email hello@queekspace.com. We may need to verify that the account is yours. If you think we have handled your information badly, you can complain to the privacy regulator in your jurisdiction.
Security
Passwords are hashed with Argon2id. Traffic is encrypted in transit. Sessions can be revoked from the Security page, and two-factor authentication is available. If a breach affects your personal information and poses a risk to you, we will notify you and the relevant regulator as required.
Children
QueekSpace is not for children under 16. If we learn that a child under 16 has an account, we will close it.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change, and tell account holders about material changes. The version you accepted is recorded on your account.
